Tell us about your favorite things to do in Chamonix with small children (0 to 4), in summer or winter. For example:
Summer: - PARADIS DES PRAZ - ROBINSON RESTAURANT
Year Round: - THE CHAMONIX LIBRARY (BIBLIOTHEQUE) In the basement of the library is the children's section. In addition to books, they have games and puzzles, and a little kitchennette with lots of dishes and plastic food to play with. There is also a little cabane where you can go inside and sit on pillows to read books. Great place for any age.

You are right, this is a fun area... I finally went there this fall. It is one of the few playgrounds that has a swingset (suitable for babies too). And some of the games are fun for little ones, even if they require payment, like the digger or the bumper cycles. Sarah

Hi. It would be great if you could make it to one of our meetings... June 3rd, July 1st, August 5th (first tuesday of the month). Or, please send me your email address and I will make sure you are subscribed to our distribution list for other events. I think that between July and September you can help to immerse your children in French--even poor French will be better than none for your 6 year old. Do you know what school you will be in? Maybe meeting with the director to get their advice would also help. Most schools in the valley are accustomed to this situation. Please contact us when you are in town, and I'm sure that in person many other families will have advice for you.

This is the discussion area of the site. You should use this area to discuss being bilingual, or raising bilingual children. Maybe you have a question about methods or strategies to use, or you want to hear how other parents have experienced raising bilingual children. Post your experiences or questions here by clicking on "Add a comment" or reply to this one.
